Abbie Blumofe - March 2013
Dear Family and Friends,
For my Bat Mitzvah Project, I wanted to help bring some happiness and solidarity to the survivors of the constant terrorist rocket attacks in Southern Israel.
I am working with Operation Embrace, a non-profit organization that helps survivors of terror attacks in Israel, to send Mishloach Manot Gift packages to be delivered to families in Southern Israel on Purim.
I am asking you to please write and/or draw a Card or Letter (if possible in Hebrew, but not necessary) addressed to the families of Southern Israel, wishing them a Happy Purim and sharing your hopes for love, peace and Achdut (togetherness). Please let them know that they are not forgotten.
Please mail these Cards/Letters back to me no later than February 10, 2013 so that I may gather them all up and send them out to be distributed in time for the holiday.
When you go to the website (www.operationembrace.org), please check out my Bat Mitzvah Project page. If possible, please donate more baskets while you can (baskets are $50 per package).
Sincerely,
Abby
